Jean Trudel was born around 1629 in Parfondeval, Orne, in France. Son of Jean Trudel and Marguerite Noyer, he married Marguerite Thomas, daughter of Jean Thomas and Marguerite Fredry, on November 15th 1655 in Quebec City. 11 children were born from their union. He arrived in the country in 1655, as a farmer and weaver of cloth. In 1657, he settled down at l’Ange-Gardien. In 1667, he owns nine heads of cattle and 30 acres of land. In 1681, he owns 2 guns, 8 heads of cattle and 30 acres of land. He died on November 25th 1699 at l’Ange-Gardien.
