Nicolas Peltier is born about 1610 in St-Pierre de Gallardon, Beauce, France. Son of François Peltier and Simonne Pichereau, he marries Jeanne Voisy in France about 1632. From their union, 8 children are born. He is a carpenter. He comes to the country in 1636 with his wife, and their 2 children: Jean and François. He settles in Sillery in 1649. In 1673, he moves to seigneurie Autray (today: Lanoraie). The date of his death is unknown, but he is alive in November 1675.
