David Lestourneau was born around 1616 in Saintonge, Charente-Maritime, France. Son of David Lestourneau and Jeanne Compain he married Sébastienne Guery, of unknown parentage, on June 10, 1640 in France. From this union were born at least two children. Widower in the following years, he married his second wife Jeanne Baril, daughter of Francis and Catherine Ligneron, on July 6, 1654. From this union were born four children. He came to this country around 1658 with his two first sons, and settled down at Château-Richer, then on Ile d’Orleans. His wife and two younger children joined in 1665. He died of disease on May 13, 1670 in Château-Richer.
