Jean-Baptiste Dubois was born around 1665 in Saint-Bonnet-de-Bellac, Haute-Vienne, France. Son of Michel Dubois and Michelle Tessier, he married Catherine Jean on September 7th, 1688 in Quebec City. They got one child. Widowed in 1689, he married his second wife Marie-Jeanne Raux, daughter of Alexandre and Marie Desrosiers on November 23rd, 1693. From this union were born six children. Widowed again he married Antoinette Limousin on January 17th, 1713 in Champlain. From this union, two children were born. Arrived in the country around 1683, this mason master settled down in Quebec City and then at Champlain. The date of his death remains unknown.
