Pioneers of the Deshaies family

Pierre Deshayes-St-Cyr was born circa 1648 in France of unknown parentage. He married Marguerite Guillet, daughter of Pierre and Jeanne St-Père, circa 1677 somewhere in the part of New France we now call the province of Quebec. From this union were born 12 children. In 1666-1668, he is a servant in Trois-Rivières. He lived in Batiscan in 1674 and in Bécancour in 1678 where he is milicia captain. in 1681, he owned 1 head of cattle and 8 acres of land. He died of a kind of "lethargy" on June 6, 1731 and was buried in Bécancour the next day.
