Pierre Desautels-Lapointe was baptized on April 4, 1631 in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, Sarthe, France. Son of Thomas Desautels and Marie-Marthe Buisson, he married a king's daughter, Marie Rémy, daughter of Nicolas and Marie Vener, on January 11, 1666 in Montreal. They had 4 children. He then married Catherine Lorion, widow of 3 spouses and daughter of Mathurin and Catherine Morinet, on November 23, 1676 in Montreal. From this union were born 2 children. He came to Montreal in 1653 as a volunteer and was confirmed in Montreal in 1660. In 1681, he owned 1 rifle, 5 heads of cattles and 18 acres of land. He was buried in Montreal on November 19, 1708.
