Damien Bérubé was baptized on February 2nd 1647 in Rocquefort, in Normandy (Seine-Maritime), France. Son of Robert Bérubé and Catherine Ferrecoq, he marries Jeanne Sauvenier on August 22nd 1679 in Rivière-Ouelle. Six children were born from their union. He is a builder. He comes to New France in 1671 on board the boat 'Le Saint-Jean-Baptiste'. He settles in Rivière-Ouelle. In 1681, he owns 1 gun, 6 heads of cattle, and 10 acres in culture. He dies on March 7 1688 in Rivière-Ouelle, from an infectious decease.
