-->Willie P. Johnson SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Willie P. "J. J. / Pop" Johnson, 85, of 208 Willow Oaks Drive, Spartanburg, SC entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 28, 2008 at White Oak Manor Nursing Home. He was a native of Lancaster, SC Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Ms. Bessie Johnson and he was the husband of Mrs. Mary Boyd Elmore Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People, he was a member of Spartan Star Lodge # 108, he retired from the City of Spartanburg after many years of dedicated service and he was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Mr. Stanley Elmore of Spartanburg, SC and Mr. Johnny Lee (Shirley) Elmore of Spartanburg, SC; one cousin reared in the home, Mrs. Ruby Johnson of Sumter, SC; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other cousins and relatives and friend. Visitation will be held 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2008 at the John Stinson Woodward Memorial Gardens. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the United House of Prayer for All People. Apostle Douglas Styles will Officiate. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home. J. W. Woodward Funeral Home
