-->Willie P. Johnson SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Willie P. "J. J. / Pop" Johnson, 85, of 208 Willow Oaks Drive, Spartanburg, SC entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 28, 2008 at White Oak Manor Nursing Home. He was a native of Lancaster, SC Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Ms. Bessie Johnson and he was the husband of Mrs. Mary Boyd Elmore Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People, he was a member of Spartan Star Lodge # 108, he retired from the City of Spartanburg after many years of dedicated service and he was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Mr. Stanley Elmore of Spartanburg, SC and Mr. Johnny Lee (Shirley) Elmore of Spartanburg, SC; one cousin reared in the home, Mrs. Ruby Johnson of Sumter, SC; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other cousins and relatives and friend. Visitation will be held 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2008 at the John Stinson Woodward Memorial Gardens. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the United House of Prayer for All People. Apostle Douglas Styles will Officiate. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens.
