FREEMAN, Samuel J., USAF Lieut. Col. Retired, 87, passed away June 21, 2004, while under the care of LifePath Hospice. He was lifelong resident of Tampa and a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Ida M. Freeman; son, John E. Freeman of Birmingham, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan & Yale Freeman of Naples; grandchildren, Jason B. and his wife, Jodi Freeman, of Tampa, and Andrew and Allison Freeman of Naples; sister, Rose Verkauf of Tampa; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice.
