NORTHBRIDGE— Robert C. Nadeau, 66, of 213 Kelly Rd. died Thurs. Aug. 4 after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Charlotte (Sansoucy) Nadeau; 4 children, Chistine M. and her husband Stephen Pupek of Newburgh, NY, Joshua A. and his wife Deanna Nadeau of Millbury, Jonathan E. and his wife Tammie Nadeau of Northbridge, and Sara J. Nadeau of Whitinsville; 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter; a brother Richard A. Nadeau of Dalton, NH; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph A. Nadeau Jr. Born in Whitinsville on Feb. 7, 1939, he was the son of Joseph A. Sr. and Jennie (Potaski) Nadeau and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Nadeau was an assembler for General Motors in their former Framingham Plant for 26 years, retiring in 1991. He was a graduate of Northbridge High School where he excelled in football as a fullback on the 1956 undefeated championship team. He was a member of the United Auto Workers’ Union, helped coach little league and Babe Ruth, was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, enjoyed traveling and his pet dogs. He served in the MA National Guard. His funeral will be held Sat. Aug. 6 from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery on Providence Rd. Calling hours at the funeral home are Fri.
