Patricia Anne (Donahue) Tremblay, 76 years of age, entered Life Eternal at the Quigley Memorial at the Chelsea Soldiers Home on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. She was born in South Boston and had resided in Braintree since 1966. She was a graduate of the Gate of Heaven Elementary and High School in South Boston. Patricia was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict serving from 1953 to 1956. She was a Marine in charge of communications at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. She met her husband Bertrand V. Tremblay at Pearl Harbor. In Braintree she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish. She was a volunteer for the Food Bank and for Toys for Tots. She and her husband enjoyed thirty-nine cruises to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, France, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. Patricia was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing. She was the beloved wife of Bertrand V. Tremblay and the devoted mother of Dianne Guerriero married to William Guerriero of Hanover, Janine Tremblay of West Yarmouth, Michael Tremblay of Marthas Vineyard and Brian Tremblay of Norwell. She was the loving grandmother of Stephanie Guerriero and Christopher Guerriero, both of Hanover and Nicole Pope of West Yarmouth. She is survived by her sisters Claire ORourke of South Boston and Marian Bata of Braintree and a brother George Donahue married to Kay of Braintree. Visiting hours will be at the Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home Friday, Sept. 30 at 9:00 a.m. to be followed by a funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree Highlands at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Father Paul Sughrue will be the celebrant. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at a later date.
