LAGRANGE, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Lois Freeman, 81, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Freeman was born April 23, 1929, in Anderson, SC, daughter of the late Lewis Jefferson and Wilma Wray Newton Roberson. She was an active member of Creekside Baptist Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and she loved traveling. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Loyd Freeman, of LaGrange; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Lewis Lummus, of Greenville and Jean and Russell Crankshaw, of Douglasville; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Karen Lassetter, of Sharpsburg; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; step children, Julie, Shannon, Charlie, Monty and Jimmy; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Roberson; and her second husband, Weldon Adams. Funeral services will be 11:00 Friday at Creekside Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Geter and Rev. Danny Geter officiating. Interment will be at Holly Hills Cemetery in Fairburn. The family will be at her home and will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening.
