Marguerite "Pete" Nadeau 1921 - 2011 ROCKINGHAM, VT Marguerite "Pete" Nadeau, 89, Lower Bartonsville Road, died Monday, Jan. 10, at her home. Mrs. Nadeau was born in Rockingham Dec. 23, 1921, daughter of Harvey and Jeanne Hunter Garrapy. She worked at News Bank (Readex) in Chester for 43 years, retiring at the age of 83. She was an avid reader, and at the age of 76 Pete learned how to use the computer and spent many happy hours learning about the world around her. On March 10, 1945, she married Ernest J. Nadeau, who predeceased her. She is survived by her son, Ernest "Bud" Nadeau, Jr., of Lower Bartonsville; her daughters, Marigene Purcell of Garnett, Kan., Jerrilyn Gomez of Springfield, and Judith Lidie of Bellows Falls; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Alice Manley and Betty Hall. She was predeceased by her grandson, Jeremy Gomez, and granddaughter, Grace Falconer, and by three sisters, Mary Woodcock, Jeanne Hunsdon, Janis Moses, and three brothers, Earl Partridge, Harvey Garrapy, Jr., and Commodore Garrapy. MEMORIAL NOTICE: There will be a celebration of her life Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at the American Legion in Chester, VT, at 1 p.m.
