MANCHESTER -- Louise Rita Marie Tremblay, 72, died April 12, 2010, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a long illness.She was born Jan. 1, 1938, in Manchester, to Edgar J. and Angeline (Brouillard) Tremblay. She was raised in Manchester, graduated from Ste. Marie High School in 1955 and Notre Dame de Lourdes Hospital School of Nursing in Manchester in 1958. Later she graduated from St. Anselm College with her B.S. in 1964 and with her M.S.N. in 1972 from Marquette University in Milwaukee. She was a resident of Manchester for many years and also lived in Milwaukee and Indianapolis.She worked for the Veterans Administration Nursing Services as associate chief of nursing service for education.She was a major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and a former member of the New Hampshire Air National Guard. She was activated during the Berlin Crisis from 1961 to 1962.She was a parishioner of Ste. Marie Church in Manchester and St. Michael the Archangel in Indianapolis.Family members include three brothers, Paul Tremblay of Manchester, Jean Tremblay of Merrimack and Jules Tremblay of Freeport, Maine; a sister, Helen Tremblay of Kernersville, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.SERVICES: Calling hours at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church, Notre Dame Avenue, Manchester.
