ROLLINSFORD — Louis T. "Joseph" Nadeau, 85, of 446 Foundry St., died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the family homestead with his family at his side.Born in Rollinsford, Jan. 2, 1924, he was the son of Hermenegilde Edward and Leda (LaFlamme) Nadeau and was a graduate of Rollinsford schools and a lifelong resident here.He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a 58-year member of the Post 47 Rollinsford American Legion. He was an avid walker and gardener.He was a former employee of the Kidder Press Co. and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.He is survived by two daughters, Claire Nadeau of Rollinsford, Mrs. Paula Vaillancourt and husband, Dana, of Gonic; a son, Michael F. Roberge and wife, Janice, of York Beach, Maine; three grandchildren, Alyssa Vaillancourt, Rebecca Bridges and Michael S. Roberge; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Mary (Theoret Roberge) Nadeau; two brothers, Joseph and Paul Nadeau; two sisters, Eva Nadeau and Marie Morin.There no calling hours.
