Lorette Favreau Nadeau Norwood, MA &#x2013; The gates of heaven were opened to welcome Lorette Favreau Nadeau on Monday evening, April 9 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Wife of the late Medrick H. Nadeau, Lorette was born in Cohoes, N.Y. on May 2, 1917, the daughter of John B. and Mary L. Daignault Favreau. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Cohoes and Troy Business College and worked at Troy News, Tek Autograf and International General Electric prior to her marriage in December, 1951. Lorette and Medrick moved to Scotia, N.Y. in September, 1956 where they raised their children. She eventually reentered the business world, first employed by St. Joseph's School in Scotia, then the First National Bank of Scotia, and finally at the Schenectady County Family Court from which she retired in 1983. She was predeceased by her siblings, Beatrice Clothier, Irene Hearn and Louis Favreau. She is survived by her four children; Diane (James) Massura of Downers Grove, IL., Gerald Nadeau of Albany, N.Y., Richard Nadeau of Maynard, MA and AnneMarie (Mark) Freitas of East Walpole, MA; by grandchildren Katherine (David) Arroyo, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, David, Lauren and Therese Massura, Patricia and Michael Nadeau, Paul and Brian Freitas and by great-grandchildren Teresa and Gabriella Arroyo. Funeral Monday, 10:00am at St. Joseph's Church on First Street in Scotia where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
