LeCLERC, Leo Charles Joseph-72, Lower Sackville, died peacefully at home, July 23, 2003. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Leopold and Alfreda (Chevirie) LeClerc. He was a merchant seaman for 40 years, and served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Seafarer's International Union of Canada. He loved the sea and had many friends and stories. Surviving are his wife, the former Theresa Smith; son, Leo Edward, Moncton, N.B.; stepdaughters, Rose, Ann, Helen, Laura, Patsy and Dianna; brothers, Gaston (Iris), Aurel (Jean), John (Clara) and Rene; sisters, Jeannine (Buck) Pye, Jackie (Bud), Carmel (Billy); eight stepgrandchildren; three step great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Reception to follow in the funeral home.
