DEMERS, Joseph Lucien Arthur On Monday, August 4, 2003, Mr. Joseph Lucien Arthur Demers passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 81 years. Joseph Lucien Arthur leaves his children, Sheila (Allan) White of Carvel, Claude Demers, and his partner Lynda Chartrand, of Stony Plain, Norman (Brenda) Demers, of St. Albert, and Brenda (James) Edwards of Edmonton; 11 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend warm heartfelt thanks to Dr. Doug McGuiver and all the nursing staff at the Sturgeon General Hospital. The family thanks everyone for their prayers and support through this difficult time. Friends and family wishing to pay their last respects may do so, on Thursday, August 7, 2003, at the St. Albert Funeral Home, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reverend Andrzej Stendzina, OMI, and Reverend Gabrielle Legault, will celebrate a Mass of Resurrection at St. Albert Catholic Church, 7 St. Vital Avenue, on Friday, August 8, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Albert Church Cemetery. Friends who so wish may make memorial donations directly to the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation, 201 Boudreau Rd, St. Albert, AB, T8N 9Z9.
