FREEMAN, Jean Marie Sept. 6, 1931 – Oct. 9, 2014 On a beautiful day, as the sun shone through the windows, surrounded by family who will immensely miss her, Jean passed away. A loving mother, sister and friend we will all be eternally grateful for having her in our lives. Jean was predeceased by her mother Beda and her father Eric and her husband of 50 years Al Freeman. She is survived by her children, Mike (Terry), Craig, Jan (Jon), Nancy. She was also a loving Nana to James, Kelsey,Trevor, Chloe, Jodie, Ashley, Jaine and Cooper. She will also be so very much missed by her sister Ruth, her cousin Karin, their families and by the many friends she had. The people and organizations to thank for helping her in her fight with cancer are to numerous too mention. The family does want to specifically thank the staff and volunteers on 7 west at Lions Gate Hospital as well as the staff and volunteers at the North Shore Hospice. The compassion and care received by Jean and her family was no less than amazing and we are all so grateful for the help along the way. Thank you for making her last days so comfortable and ensuring she passed on with great dignity. A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date.
