FREEMAN Funeral Service for Ms. Mattie Kate Madison Freeman will be held at NOON, Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, where she held membership, Rev. Darrell L. Gilyard, Pastor, Rev. Alford Letson, officiating. Ms. Freeman of 5871 John F. Kennedy Dr., N. passed away May 9, 2005 in a local hospital. She was a native of Lincolnton, GA having resided in Jacksonville the past 41 years. Vistakon, Inc. employed her as a Lens Technician until she retired in 2001 after 17 years of dedicated service. Her parents, William and Lucey Rose Robinson Madison, predeceased Ms. Freeman. Survivors include her son, Gene A. Barnes (Georgia); daughter, Mrs. Sherrie F. Jordan (Gregory); grandson, Gene A. Barnes, Jr.; granddaughters, Kenyetta B.R. and Regina R. Barnes and Jordica M. Jordan; sisters, Mmes. Coline Zellars and Lillie B. Clark; brothers, William Madison, Jr. and Robert L. Madison (Vera); a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ms. Freeman will rest i n the church WEDNESDAY for visitation of friends from 10AM until the hour of service. THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION ON TUESDAY(TODAY). Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery of Lincolnton, GA under the direction of Norris W. Gunby, Sr. Funeral Home of Lincolnton, GA (706/359-4448).
