FREEMAN Funeral services for James Victor “ Vic” Freeman, 87, will be held at 12:30 P.M. Thursday from the graveside in Arlington Park Cemetery with Mr. Michael D. Dupuis officiating. Born December 20, 1916 in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Freeman died Saturday, July 3, 2004 in Jacksonville. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a pastor with Arise and Walk Ministries. Mr. Freeman was co-founder of Sav-A-Stop where he was President and Chairman of the Board. He owned and operated Julington Creek Restaurant and Marina for eight years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Louise Banes Freeman of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, where the family will receive friends from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday.
