Berube, Eugene Leo, 75, of Oakland Park, died Thursday, March 6, 2008. Mr. Berube was a local resident for 14 years coming from Stamford, CT. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Stamford, CT Parks Department. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, of 55 years; daughters, Jeannie (Bill Quirk) Berube of MA and Debbie (Mike) Vodola of CT; son, Lenny Berube of CT; sisters, Bernice Berube of Sunrise and Lillian Romanello of CT; grandchildren: Michael, Joey, Carrie, Jamie, Matt, Joe and Nicholas and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Joseph and daughter, Barbara. A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 11th at 10 am in St. Clement Catholic Church, 2975 N. Andrews Ave., Wilton Manors. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in South Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the American Diabetes Assoc. Research Foundation.
