Obituary of Edna V. Dubois


LEOMINSTER - Edna V. DuBois, 68, of 781 Main St., died Thursday, Oct. 24, in Health Alliance/Leominster, after a long illness. She was born in Fitchburg, the daughter of Edward L. and Lena (Pigion) Worthley. She lived in Fitchburg until moving to Leominster 40 years ago. She was a bingo enthusiast, and loved gardening and computers. She leaves six sons, Raymond J. Auger of Scott, La., Wayne A. Auger of Litchfield, N.H., Robert W. Auger of Gardner, Charles A. Auger of Leominster, Alex L Dubois of Leominster, and Dr. Alan P. Dubois of West Boylston. She also leaves nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Edward Worthley of Fitchburg, and five sisters, Mary Korhonen of Wilbraham, Olive Coburn of Leominster, Elaine McCurdy of Chesapeake, Va., Drina Baker of Hudson, N.H., and Lena M. Parmenter of Troy, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband R. Lucien DuBois, who died in 1986, a brother Walter Worthley and a sister Violet Butler. DUBOIS -- On Oct. 24, Edna V. DuBois, 68, of Leominster. Memorial service, Monday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. at Leominster Assembly of God Church, 834 Main St., Leominster. Mr. Dubois donated her body to New England Institute at Mt. Ida College. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chron’s and Colitis Foundation of America, Inc., 386 Park Avenue South, 17th Floor, New York, N.Y., 10016.
