She was a devoted member of St. Pius Church. More than anything, Carol will be remembered for her deep faith in God, her special devotion to the Blessed Mother, as well as her devotion to her husband, children and family. She had a contagious smile, a great sense of humor and many deep and loyal friendships. She was an inspiration to everyone that knew her. Carol and her family would like to thank the Community Hospice staff; the nurses at Albany Memorial Hospital and St. Peter's Hospital; Dr. Nancy Kemeny and the staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering; Dr. Larry Garbo and all the many nurses and "chemo friends" at NYOH who stood by her side throughout the journey. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at the Church of St. Pius X in Loudonville on Tuesday, June 24 at 11 a.m. Calling hours will held on Monday at the church from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Academy of the Holy Names, 1075 New Scotland Road, Albany, NY 12208-1037.
