Sherryl Thomas, née en 1956, conjointe de Iro Thomas, fille de Joseph, mère de Pas'chus, Lachesa, Iro Thomas et Dennis T, est décédée le 22 avril 2008 à l'âge de 51 ans.
THOMAS Sherryl Thomas age 51, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. She was the beloved daughter of Mr. Joseph Smith, Jr. and the late Rebecca Morgan Smith. Born May 13, 1956, in Savannah, Ga., and had been a lifelong resident of Bridgeport. Sherryl attended the Bridgeport Public Schools and was a graduate of Warren Harding High School. She continued her education at Housatonic Community College where she received an Associates degree in Early Child Care. She also attended The University of Bridgeport receiving a Bachelors degree. Sherryl was a member of West End Tabernacle CME Church and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She was previously employed as a substitute Teacher for Park City Magnet. Her son her son Dennis T. Bendolph predeceased her. Sherryl leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Iro Thomas, Sr. of Jamaica, WI, one son, Iro Thomas Jr. of Bridgeport; two daughters, Lachesa Ellis and Pas'Chus Thomas of Bridgeport, her father Joseph Smith, Sr. of New Haven; two brothers Gregory Smith, Sr. of Bridgeport and Darryl Smith of Georgia; two sisters, Rita Galvin of Georgia and Felicia Smith of Bridgeport; five grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12 noon in West End Tabernacle C.M.E. Church, 265 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport, CT with Pastor Bysheen Tomlin officiating. Interment will take place in Park Cemetery following the service. Friends are invited to the wake Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the church. Morton's Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport is in charge of arrangements.
