Linda M. (McDonnell) Thomas passed away Sept. 26, 2012, at the age of 63. Linda was raised and educated in Weymouth and had lived in Scituate for 36 years. She was a retired teacher at St. Joseph's School in Holbrook. Linda was a volunteer at the Sea Chest Consignment Shop in Cohasset and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was the loving mother of Scott Thomas married to Lisa of Scituate and Kerrin OBrien married to Scott of Norwood; sister of Susan Moher of Connecticut, Nancy Parker of Westminster, Gail Evertz of Colorado, Robert McDonnell of North Carolina, William McDonnell of California and Joanne McDonnell of Worcester; "Grandma Lindy" to Kyle Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Dylan O'Brien and Corey O'Brien. Visiting hours were Sept. 30, 2-6 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. A funeral Mass was held Oct. 1, in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth, at 11:30 a.m. Donations may be made to the Scituate Library, 85 Branch St., Scituate, MA 02066.
