CONWAY, S.C. - Eileen Dowd, 81, wife of the late James Dowd, of Cedar Ridge Lane, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Dowd was born in East Boston, Mass., a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Catherine Connolly Watts. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and retired from Lucent Technologies. Mrs. Dowd was predeceased by a sister, Marie Simpson. Surviving are one sister, Kathleen Edwards, one sister-in-law, Eleanor Bartlett and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be sent to Mercy Care Hospice, 8216 Devon Court, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29572. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
