REEVESVILLE, S.C - Dorothy Mae "Dot" Thomas, 73 wife of the late H.M. Thomas died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Bamberg Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was a native of Reevesville, SC and a daughter of the late Leon and Alice Heaton Spells. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jule Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Harter Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas is survived by four sons, Gerald Martin Thomas (Gaby), David Leon Thomas, John Henry Thomas (Debra) all of Fairfax, SC and Christopher Michael Thomas of Beaufort, SC.; one daughter, Virginia Elaine Thomas Allen (Lacey) of Fairfax, SC.; two brothers, John E. Spell and Charles Hugo Spell both of Smoaks, SC,; eight grandchildren, Rachael, Freedom, Jason, Phillip, Savannah, Madison, Skyler and Lacey; one great-grandchild, Morgan. She was preceded in death by one son Henry Vandon Thomas and one grandson, Shawn Allen. The family will receive friend from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening at Keith Smith Funeral Service, 128 Water Street, Allendale, SC (803) 584-2492.
