Cote, Doris Marie -Fleurant-, 67, a 32-yr resident of S. FL, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, Sunday, September 11, 2005. She was born in St. Cyrille de Wendover, Quebec on January 27, 1938. She graduated from the private English school, Ellis High School in Drummondville, P.Q. in 1954, at the age of 16. She then moved to Cambridge, MA where she lived with her sister and worked at Mount Auburn Hosp. Doris married Robert Emile Cote on April 26, 1958. They had 5 children and lived in Bedford, NH. Doris was married for 14 years, but in 1973, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL with her children. The family vacationed often at their fathers' condo on Hutchinson Island. Doris gave her life to the Lord for His service in 1975. From 1977-1990 Doris and her children ministered to the homeless at the Fort Lauderdale Rescue Mission. Doris also went on missionary trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. She was a volunteer counselor at Trinity Broadcast Network till 2003. In 1987, she worked for Holy Cross Hospital for 10 years, Hollywood Pavilion Hospital, and a credit counseling service up until her debilitating illness progressed. In the spring 2002, Doris' body began to weaken and was finally diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease in December 2004. While going from a walker to eventually a wheelchair, Doris lived on her own in Ft. Lauderdale near her two sons. In March 2005, she moved to Port St. Lucie, FL to be close to her daughters. Doris always gave unselfishly of her time and resources to those who need it. Doris is survived by her daughter Debra (Dennis) Martin, Clayton, GA; son John (Michelle) Coté, Pompano Bch, FL; daughter Caroline (Tim) York, White City, FL; son Robert Cote, Pompano Beach, FL; daughter Carmen (Barry) Gladstein, Ft. Pierce, FL; 14 grand children; sister: Gisele (Sam) Albanna, Waltham, MA; Brothers: Gilles (Monique) Fleurant, Lincoln Pk, MI & Marcel Fleurant, St. Cyrille, PQ. Burial Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 12 noon at White City Cemetary.
