THOMAS _ Carroll Mildred (Christensen) February 24, 1918 - March 19, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great-Gran and Sister. At the age of 89 years, on March 19, 2007 within the loving arms of her family, Carroll left us to be with her dearly missed husband of sixty-two years, David, who predeceased her in March 2001. Carroll is survived by her three children: Gerald (Diane) Thomas, Sharon Thomas and Mary (Wally) Tainton; seven grandchildren, Warren (Nicole) Coles, Karin (Stephen Kelba) Coles, Carolyn (Pat) deHaas, Bryce (Emily) Tainton, Debbie Tainton, Evan Thomas and Michael Thomas; eight great-grandchildren, Richard, Alexander, Jackson, Rhianna, Dalton, Daniel, Benjamin and Brandon; brother John Christensen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceasing Carroll were her sisters, Doris, Alice, Helen and brothers, Walt, Meryl and Richard. Mom's passions in life were her family, sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, petite-point, baking and reading. Those truly blessed by knowing Mom will always remember her for her genuine kindness, generosity, wonderful sense of humor and boundless capacity for love. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at WHEATLAND FUNERAL CHAPEL, Strathmore at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired memorial donations may be made to the Strathmore Hospital (200 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore, AB, T1P 1J9).
