<!-- FH = FAZIO, ROBERT --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->THOMAS, Barbara Brinson 89 native of St. Petersburg, passed away on Sept. 13, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death, May 2006, by her husband H. Leighton Thomas, and is survived by daughters, Janice (Rob) Fazio and Carroll (David) Bauer; four grandchildren, Katie and Elise Fazio, and Leigh and Alex (Audrey) Bauer; two great-grand children, Nicholas and Lucas Bauer; her sister, Janice B. Van Landingham; as well as nieces and nephews. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. For 25 years, she worked for the State of Florida in child welfare. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church teaching Sunday School and working on missionary activities. Barbara touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on Sept. 22, 1 pm at the First Baptist Church, 1900 Gandy Blvd, St. Petersburg. Her family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Homes, P.O. Box 8190, Lakeland FL 33802
