Celebration of Life for Barbara G Thomas, 76, DeLand FL, former resident of New Smyrna Beach who died Sunday, May 9, 2010. Memorial will be 6:00PM Thursday at Stetson Baptist Church in DeLand. The family will receive friends at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford on Friday at 1:00PM. Barbara was born in Sanford and lived most of her life in the area. She and her late husband, Buck, owned and operated several business' during their life together. Barbara was an avid golfer in her younger days. She enjoyed attending church, interior decorating, crafts, fishing and her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Vicki Stewart of DeLand; sister, Janette Young of Powder Springs, GA; brothers, Rodney Gardner of Woodstock, GA, George Gardner of DeBary, FL, and Clifford Gardner of Avon, Indiana; grandchildren, Jeremy Freer, Kevin, Jordan and Linnelle Stewart; and three great grandchildren.
