SALEM, Mass. - Arthur F. Jordan, 79, of Salem, a former longtime Lowell resident who was veteran of World War II, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, in Salem. He was the husband of Jan Jordan, and the late Barbara M. Jordan.He was born in Lowell on March 5, 1923, son of the late Arthur F. and Anna (Doran) Jordan. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1941. Mr. Jordan was also a former resident of Bonita Springs, Fla.Mr. Jordan was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.He was a member of St. Michael Church in Lowell. Mr. Jordan was the past president of the I.A.A.B.O. Board #95, past athletic deanery coordinator for the Merrimack Valley CYO as well being a recipient of the Pro Deo et Juventute Medal. In addition to his wife Jan, he is survived by a daughter, Pamela A. Jordan of Lowell; four grandchildren, Leslie, Detellis, Katherine, Ian and Barbara-Jean Jordan; two stepchildren, Matthew and Michael Martin; a sister, Edith Harrington of Bonita Springs, Fla.He was also the brother of the late Gertrude Barbour, Eileen Curtin, and Grace Masse.
