Edith Smith, conjointe de Alexander George, mère de Heather et Louise, est décédée le 27 mars 2003.
SMITH _ Edith Vera Louise (nee Ingledew) passed away peacefully on March 27, 2003, surrounded by her family in Coquitlam, B.C. Edith was predeceased by her husband, Alexander George in April, 2002 and her five brothers, Garfield, John, Bill, Norman and Kenneth. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Heather and Louise; and her special sons-in-law, Ian and Bob; her beloved grandchildren, Bruce (Loree) and Carolyn (Rob). She dearly loved her great-grandchildren, Riley, Paige, Graham, and Amanda, and many nephews and nieces. Edith was born in Vancouver, B.C. in 1907, and was a pioneer Kerrisdale resident, living there until moving to Coquitlam in December, 2001. She had a great interest in playing golf (Marine Dr, G.C.) and bridge, and watching football, hockey, and golf on TV. Special thanks to the staff at Dufferin Care Centre who gave exceptional care and compassion to Edith and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m., at Burkeview Family Funeral Care, 1340 Dominion Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C.
