Pioneers of the Desrosiers family

Antoine Desrosiers was baptized in 1620 in Noailly, Loire department. Son of Jean Desrosiers-Deronzier, he reaches the country in 1641 and get married with Anne Leneuf, daughter of Michel Leneuf du Hérisson in 1647 in Three-Rivers. From their union were born eight children. In 1651, his servant was killed by the Iroquois and he got taken prisoner by them in 1659. He managed to escape and returned to Three-Rivers. In 1681 he owns 8 guns, nine heads of cattle and 40 acres of land. He lives in Champlain, where he died in 1691.
