GOODWIN Willie Mae Goodwin, age 71, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at home. Born in Aiken, S.C., Willie Mae had been a resident of this city for the past 56 years. She was employed as a paraprofessional special education aide with Durham Transportation of Milford for the past 10 plus years. She attended Prayer Tabernacle Church of Love, Inc. Survivors include her husband, John Henry Goodwin Sr.; a son, William Goodwin of Bridgeport; three daughters, Rosemarie (Anthony) Mason and Madeline (Thomas) Kinchen, both of Bridgeport and Barbara (Isaiah) LaRose of New Haven; a brother, George Jennings Jr. of New York; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Prayer Tabernacle Church of Love, 1243 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport with Bishop Kenneth H. Moales, Pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in Park Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Morton s Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, is in charge of arrangements.
