Obituary of William-James Todd


William "Bill" James Todd, 82, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at home. He was born June 28, 1923, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Edward Judson and Josephine Todd. He is survived by his wife, Janice a son, David, his wife, Paulette, and their children, Gregory and Kristi, of Highland, Ill. a daughter, Deborah, and her husband, Dean Yount, of Wyandotte, Okla. and a sister, Peggy Ferris, of Morris Plains, N.J. Bill was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Forestry. He worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation in the Branson and Springfield Districts. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 30, 2005, with a military burial service at 1 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Friends are welcome to join the family Saturday, October 1, 2005, at 6 p.m. at the Gateway Christian Church, located at 3600 W. Republic Rd. in Springfield, for a celebration in honor of Bill Todd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Rainbow Network Special Needs Fund, 3834 South Avenue, Springfield, MO 65807-5285.
