McDERMOTT - William C. 64, of Buffalo, formerly of Oneida, died Tuesday at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Oneida, he graduated from Oneida High School and Canisius College and attained his Masters in Education from Buffalo State. Bill has been a cook in several Buffalo area restaurants. A guitarist, he played for several Buffalo area bands. Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Ryan; his son, Charles and his wife Sofiya; his brother, Robert of Oneida; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12 Noon Monday at St. James Church in Cazenovia. Spring burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8pm Sunday at the TAIT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2333 Fenner Rd., Cazenovia. Contributions may be made to the SPCA.
