Virginia Whitenack Miller, 97, wife of the late Thomas Allen Miller, both longtime residents of Summit, N.J., died in her home in West Hartford, Conn., on May 1, 2010. There will be a service in celebration of her life at 11 a.m. on May 5, 2010, at Central Presbyterian Church in Summit, where she had been a member for over 80 years. Burial will be immediately following the service in Somerville Cemetery, Somerville, N.J. Mrs. Miller was born in New York City on Dec. 29, 1912, to William A. and Josephine Taylor Whitenack. She moved to Summit at the age of 14 and lived there until 1999 when she moved to West Hartford to be near her daughter. A most beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt who always took delight and interest in the lives of her family, she is survived by her daughters, Virginia Lynn Steinle and her husband, Peter, and Mary Jo Russo. She also leaves five grandchildren, Thomas D. Steinle, Susan Steinle McKenzie, P. Jeffrey Lennon, Lisa Lennon Badgley, Peter D. Steinle and their spouses ,and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two nephews, William F. and David J. Barenborg, and their families.
