Obituary of Virginia Davis


LEOMINSTER -- Virginia Violet Davis, 62, of Leominster, died Sunday, May 21, in her home, surrounded by family and close friends. She was born on Jan. 31, 1944, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Harry and Violet (Eyles) Davis. Mrs. Davis worked as an assembler at Eglomise Designs, a specialty gifts producer in Devens, until 2004, when she retired due to illness. She attended Assembly of God Church in Leominster. Her greatest joy came as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Davis leaves two sons, Scott Dupuis of Wilbraham and Todd Dupuis of Leominster; one daughter, Wendy (Dupuis) Koskinen of Leominster; one sister, Carolyn (Gordon) Godley of Fitchburg; five grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Sidney Gordon, Gayladd Gordon and Arthur Davis; and one sister, Joyce (Gordon) LaDuke. DAVIS -- On May 21, Virginia Violet Davis, 62, of Leominster. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 26, at 1 p.m. in Assembly of God Church, 834 Main St., Leominster. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family immediately following the service in the church hall for refreshments and fellowship, and most importantly to share memories. Burial will be private at Woodside Cemetery, Westminster, next to her parents and family. There are no calling hours.
