May 17, 1926-July 23, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy, 2 daughters, Teri (John) and Colleen (Al); 4 grandchildren, Christi, Jay, Alyssa and Laura and 2 great-grandsons Corry and Alex; sister Betty and brother Barrie. A celebration of Vern's life will be held Monday, July 30th, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Avalon Funeral Home, 13288 - 108th Ave, Surrey BC. The family would like to thank Guildford Seniors Village, where Vern spent the last 18 months of his life for their splendid care and understanding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
