Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Velma Louise Rich Norris, 85, Gadsden, who died Friday, July 10, 2009. The Rev. Whitt Hibbs and Bro. Lauil Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing. Mrs. Norris was a member of Ivalee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Bessie Rich; brother, Clyde Rich; and sisters, Ann Nelson and Alta Snyder. She is survived by her husband Ralph Norris, Gadsden; daughter, Karen (Ronnie) Pike, Southside; sons, Ronald (Linda) Norris, Rainbow City, and Bobby (Jo) Norris, Rockledge; brother, Harris (Sue) Rich, Southside; sisters, Myrtle Wolfe, Southside, and Julia McCormick, Bessemer; sister-in-law, Eyvonne Rich; grandchildren, Tim Cox (fiancée, Tammy Shaneyfelt), Southside, Chris Cox (fiancée, Cheryl Morgan), Southside, Kim Cox, Southside, Brandy Norris, Rockledge, Jody Norris, Rockledge, Ronnie Norris, Southside, and Renee (Mo) Hull, Ashville; chosen grandchildren, Kevan (Jackie) Sanstead, Weaver, Tara Martin, Rainbow City, and Stephanie Pum, Rainbow City; great-grandchildren, Clair, Christy and Corie Cox, Sarah Chitwood Johnson, Maddy Sprinkle, Justin Owens, Austin Sanstead, Wesley and Caitlyn Norris, Ashlee and Keilsy Hull and Emily White; chosen great-grandchildren, Jake Shaneyfelt, Kristin Murphy, Mallory Morgan, Tyler and Kimberly Bohannon and Cole Martin; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Nell Miller, Foley, Imogene Harris, Ivalee, and Geraldine Moore, Anniston.
