Obituary of Tonya-Denise Murray-Lee


Tonya Denise Murray-Lee, 36, died March 29, 2008, at her home. She was born in Fort Pierce and was a lifetime resident. She attended the public schools of St. Lucie County and was a graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School, Class of 1990. She was employed as a certified nurse's assistant in the Home Health Care business. She was a member of the New Covenant Prayer Center, where she served as a choir member, usher, devotional leader, secretary and evangelist. Survivors include her daughters, Chelsea Lee and Zarria Aukei Jackson, both of Fort Pierce; mother, Essie Fisher and stepfather, Bishop Stafford Fisher, both of Fort Pierce; brothers, Robert Murray Jr. of Fredericksburg, Va., Kelvin Murray of Orlando; stepbrother, Gary Copeland of Fort Pierce; sister, Annette Jackson of Fort Pierce; stepsisters, Lisa Culver and Teresa Williams, both of Fort Pierce and Tammy Copeland of Tampa. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Lee Barnes. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. April 4 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. April 5 at Greater Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Fort Pierce.
