<!-- T.O. (O'Neal) DAVIS --> DAVIS, T.O. (O'Neal)Age 92 of Nashville, passed away March 19, 2009 at his son's home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue and daughter, Wanda Sue. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Davis Wells (Mark) of Franklin, TN and son, Mark of Euless, TX; two sisters, Elizabeth Davis of Charlotte, TN and Virginia Robbins (Martin) of Memphis, TN; one granddaughter, Sarah Arnwine (Tanner) of Rogers, AR and great-grandson, Ethan. Mr. Davis grew up in the farming community of Charlotte, TN and relocated to Memphis and then Nashville early in his career. He worked as a bus driver for Greyhound and as a sales manager for Capital Chevrolet. He was the proprietor of D & R Motors for over 35 years, where he served the Nashville community and worked until he was 80 years old. Mr. Davis was a member of the Elks Lodge 76 and South End United Methodist Church, where he was actively involved in Men's club, Pastor-parish, Fellowship Class, Room at the Inn, and Troop 4. He received his "Long Rifle" award in 1981 for his years of service and dedication to the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Davis loved life, his family, his community and especially Dickson County where he spent his early years. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall with Rev. Hubert Cunningham officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to South End United Methodist Church, Nashville, TN, Charlotte-Fagan Methodist, Charlotte, TN or Boy Scouts of America.
