She was employed by Wassaic State Hospital until her retirement. She was married to Alexander "Johnny" Johnson. Mama Sue was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved helping everyone and having family and friends to entertain and fuss with. Mama Sue leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: daughter, Zilphia "Zobie" Johnson-Malcolm (Brian) of Poughkeepsie; son Alphonso "AL" Johnson of Poughkeepsie, Kevin Johnson of Florida, Edward, Charles and Julius Bimble of Alabama.Mama Sue was a mother to all and especially cherished Ruth & Tena Jackson of Poughkeepsie, Joyce & Betty Ann Jackson both of Florida, Pomfila, Melissa and Sabrina Johnson all of Poughkeepsie and Dawna Durham of Buffalo, NY., Thomas Jackson of Poughkeepsie, Edward, Robert and Calvin Jackson of Florida. She also leaves a brother James "Bama" Butler of Florida; sister Peggy Julius of Brooklyn, NY. Two special grand-daughters, LaStarra Taylor of Virginia and Diamond Gilmor of Poughkeepsie.
