She departed this life on September 9, 2012 in Kansas University Medical Center after many years of a courageous battle with diabetes. She was a graduate of Ash Grove High School and attended S.M.S. and Draughn Business College and worked at Shearson Lehman Brothers Stock Brokerage and A.G. Edwards Investments in Kansas City. Susan was a member of John's Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, George H. Gray. She is survived by her mother Barbara Gray; brother Michael (Paula) Gray; sisters Marsha (Doug) Overholser and Gloria (Richard) Moon, all of Ash Grove; and niece and nephews; and her faithful 4-legged companions Sophie and Ellie Rose. Susan loved her birds and her pets.Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wilson Brim-Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove. Interment will follow in John's Chapel Cemetery, South of Ash Grove.Friends may call at their convenience after 4:30 today (Wednesday) in the Ash Grove Chapel.
