Obituary of Susan Flanagan


Susan Flanagan BROCKTON Susan (Nygren) Flanagan, age 62 years, of Brockton, died at South Shore Hospital, Friday, Jan. 8, 2010. Born in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Mildred (Oman) Nygren. She was a 1965 graduate of Brockton High School and a 1969 graduate of Bridgewater State College. Susan was a lifelong member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brockton and an avid Red Sox fan. She was the beloved wife of William Flanagan of Brockton; and devoted mother of Lisa Langan of Hingham, Kristi Shepard and her husband Scott of North Carolina and Matthew Flanagan and his wife Julia of South Carolina; and sister of Steven Nygren of New Mexico, Ann Nickerson of New Hampshire and Mark Nygren of Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 906 North Main St., Brockton. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. A private burial to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susans memory may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central New England Chapter, P.O.
