Obituary of Sarah-E. Olson


OLSON -Sarah E. Olson. Sarah (Sadie or 'Sal' to her friends) passed away in Chilliwack, BC April 16, 2005, in her 91st year. She was born December 3, 1914 in Saskatoon to William and Florence Bradley. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother William Bradley of Regina, her sister Beatrice Ewen of Calgary, her first husband Lawrence Woodhead who died serving in England during WWII, and her second husband Arthur Bishop Olson in 1985. Sadie had lived and worked in Saskatoon until 1954 when she married A.B. Olson and moved with him to New Jersey. When Arthur retired in 1973, they moved to Sardis B.C. and Sadie moved to Chilliwack in 1986 after Arthur passed away. She is survived by her daughter Donna Daly of West Milford N.J., a step-son Donald Olson of Lynden WA, and two step-daughters: Beverley McNally of Moorsboro NC and Linda Titerence of Folson PA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.A service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 46078 Higginson Road, Chilliwack (Sardis) B.C. on Thursday April 21, 2005. Contributions to the St. John's Anglican Church in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family. Sadie (Sarah Bradley Woodhead Olson) will be missed but anyone who knew her will honor her memory by remembering the happy times. Sadie would never brook anyone sitting around mourning.
