S. Michael Davis, 59, Seymour, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Clarian Health Partners Methodist Campus, Indianapolis. Mr. Davis graduated from Seymour High School and afterward went to work at Cummins Engine Co., from where he retired. After retirement, he enjoyed restoring antique trunks and furniture. Born in Seymour on May 20, 1950, he was the son of William and Elsie Nale Davis, both of whom preceded him in death. On March 5, 1977, in Vernon, he married Barbara A. Meyers Davis, who survives in Seymour. Other survivors include two daughters, Michelle and Cathy; a son, Bill; and three sisters, Bea Stacy, Lana Patrick and Rita Klakamp. Deacon Mike East will conduct a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charity.
